Waikiki Beach Summary: Waikiki Beach is perhaps the most famous beach in the world. The iconic Diamond Head crater in the background, combined with the swaying palm trees, beautiful beach, and world famous waves make this place one of a kind. The people watching is always great here and our customers lounge for days on end with our beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. The begginer surfing is famous here and many customers catch their first waves on the mellow rollers just off shore with our beginner surfboard rentals. Boogie boarding, snorkeling, swimming, and SUPing are also popular beach Waikiki beach activities. There are many restaraunts and shops nearby and many vacationers find themselves never leaving the Waikiki area. If crowds aren’t your thing then we would recommend some other beaches on the island, but Waikiki is popular for a reason, its always fun.

Waikiki Beach Relaxing: The beach at Waikiki is the most crowded in Hawaii, but that doesn't mean its not relaxing. The sun, sand, palm trees, blue/green water and tropical air are enough to relax even the most high speed person. Hawaii Beach Time rents large adrionak style beach chairs, or fold up recliners(easier to carry) for visitors to really kick back at Waikiki. Our Waikiki cooler rentals come with ice to keep your lunch and drinks cold, and our beach umbrella rentals are 6.5ft in diameter for maximum UV protection enabling you to spend much more time at the beach having a good time.

Waikiki Kayaking:Kayaking at Waikiki is not a typical watersports activity. If kayakaing is something you’re looking to do, we have some nearby recommendations for you, just call in and ask, or check out these Oahu kayaking locations:
Haliewa Beach Park(north shore)
Chinamens Hat(windward side)
Lanikai

Waikiki Snorkeling: The snorkeling at Waikiki is a great way to get warmed up to Hawaii snorkeling, small fish make their way into the swimming areas and the water is always very clear. Hawaii Beach Time rents snorkel sets to Waikiki visitors on a regular basis where many of them get warmed up for Hanauma Bay or Sharks Cove where the snorkeling is out of this world. Waikiki snorkel rentals are inexpensive and we can deliver them right to the beach or your hotel 7 days a week 8am-8pm.

Waikiki Stand Up Paddle Boarding: Waikiki is a great place to try out the popular new sport of Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Hawaii Beach Time rents SUP boards at Waikiki beach on a daily basis where visitors can learn to paddle in the calm waters just off shore, and if you’re feeling brave, catch a wave. Many stand up paddle board rentals in Honolulu are very expensive, $30/hour at most stands….Not from Hawaii Beach Time, out Waikiki stand up paddle rentals (SUP rentals) are $39 for the entire day, including delivery right to you at the beach or your Waikiki hotel.

Waikiki Boogie Boarding: Waikiki is a great place for kids and adults alike to spend some time in the crystal clear waters catching some waves on one of our boogie board rentals. You’ll pay the same price for a full day rental from us, that you will for one hour at many nearby rental stands, and the delivery is free. If you leave the protected swimming areas there are many places where you can catch some small waves right into shore. It’s a good time even for experienced boogie boarders. If you’re planning on spending a day at Waikiki, renting a boogie board is a great option for some fun.

Waikiki Parking:Its tough, if you aren’t staying at a hotel nearby the parking may be difficult. We recommend the Honolulu Zoo parking lot at the end of Kuhio Beach Park, its metered so bring your quarters.

Waikiki Lifeguards:Yes, and please listen to them.

Waikiki Restrooms / Showers:Yes.

Waikiki Nearby Restaurants:There are tons! Cheesecake factory, Wolfgang puck express, Mcdonalds, basically whatever you want is within walking distance.

Waikiki Beach Gear To Rent: Waikiki is a great beach for just about anything except kayaking. At Waikiki we recommend renting beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers filled with ice, surfboards, boogie boards, snorkel sets, and water hammocks.
