Located on the North Shore of Oahu this beach is perfect for site seeing, whether it be for the sunsets or the insane surfing. The beach itself is wide and great for relaxing with Hawaii Beach Time chairs and umbrellas. Snorkeling and kayaking is a great way to enjoy this beach park during the summer months. During winter, waves can get to be 15-20 ft. in size and is a world famous surf spot. The “Sunset Rip” is a strong rip current that is often active. There are lifeguards and warning signs and it is recommended that you take notice of such signs and be careful. Some days the current is mild and other days it can be dangerously strong. World famous Ted’s Bakery is just down the street and make sure to try the delicious Ted’s Burger and Chocolate Haupia Pie. Overall, this is a must see iconic beach.
